Scheduled Driving Lessons and 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course

When you sign up for a Driving Lesson Package, Individual Driving Lessons, or selections from our Create Your Own Package offerings, it is our goal to communicate and confirm your scheduled lessons in a timely manner so that you may have the opportunity to convey any challenges that may prevent you from attending your scheduled lesson or class.

Late Policy

Driving Lessons

As a courtesy, we offer a 15-minute grace period for you to attend your scheduled 45-minute Driving Lesson. After that, you have an additional five (5) minutes until you are considered a “no-show” for your lesson. If you are up to 20 minutes late for your scheduled 45-minute lesson, you can still take your lesson but it will only be 25-minutes long. After 20 minutes, you are considered a “no-show” and the lesson is lost.

5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course

If you are seeking a New York Driver’s License, you are required to complete the DMV-approved 5-hour course before we schedule an appointment for your behind-the-wheel Road Test. As such, we currently hold the course online, via Zoom, on Wednesdays and Sundays from 10am - 3pm.

To reschedule your confirmed attendance at a class, you must do so by the end of the business day prior (Tuesday / Saturday), otherwise you forfeit your seat and will need to pay for the class again.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes, unexpected emergencies can arise. If you need to cancel, or reschedule your confirmed Driving Lesson(s) or 5-Hour Class, we request that you do so by the end of the business day prior to your scheduled lesson/class. There are a number of ways you can do so:

  • by calling the Beauty and the Beast Driving office at: (917) 737-7623;
  • by calling Carmen directly at: (646) 853-6303;
  • or, by emailing Carmen at: carmen@porratax.com

Unfortunately, failure to cancel your scheduled Driving Lesson or 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course by the end of the business day prior to your scheduled lesson/class will result in a forfeiture of said lesson/class.
